We love everything about the Black Sheep. They don't just have burgers, you can get a great California roll there as well. The place is small. You pay at the counter. There is a few seats outside. Most people get take away or delivery. It is super clean. The service is very nice and they are fast. It does not take long to get your food. Their burgers are great. I love the meat they use. They cook them all to order and they prepare the meat the way you want it and not burnt to a crisp like many places do now. The Katsu California Roll is crab, avocado, sushi ginger, nori, wasabi, mayo, tomato, and cucumber on a beef patty. Yes, on a beef patty and it is great. We love the Yuki Spicy Tuna that has, sushi ginger, nori, wasabi, mayo, tomato, and cucumber on a beef patty. It might sound strange, but they are so good. We also love all of their salads. They make a great Chinese chicken salad and a wonderful, but simple, garden salad. Their fries are great as is their chili. If you want you can get a simple double-double burger and it is one of your favorites. You will love this place.

I feel like this place is slept on and even I admit I forget it's there sometimes. But the burgers are delicious but today I opted for their breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. The brioche bun is perfectly round and shiny. And the bacon, spam, hash brown, runny egg, cheese and green salsa makes such a great bite that I literally couldn't put it down until I finished the whole thing. I've been here for the burgers before and they are also great but their breakfast is a big hit too.

I wanted to LOVE my Black Sheep Burger, but it was just okay. The beef was tasty, freshly made to order, but the rest, pickles, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing was meh... It was just over $10. The price seems to change online, depending where Google takes you, though. Perhaps the other specialty burgers are tastier. There is a weekday special of $16.95 with their house Black Sheep Burger, fries and soda or bottled water. Since I don't drink soda and didn't want to pay for bottled water, I skipped this deal and just wanted to try their BS house burer. Free parking lot adjacent. The entrance to the lot is on Mississippi, and the sign says YAMAGUCHI. For those who know the history, this location was the formal Japanese family owned Yamaguchi store. Nice inviting outdoor protected seating as well as indoor counter seating, however there is one corner table spot. Staff was very friendly, efficient and kind.

Tasty food and polite staff. Great for a nice lunch outdoors, but inside seating is bar only. If you're looking for a fun new burger experience in Sawtelle, this is the place. Ordered the Cali roll burger and some curry cauliflower fries. Overall, taste was fine. Nothing to rave about, but definitely a different flavor to the classic burger. The cauliflower had a really tasty curry sauce, but if you're looking for something more on the crispy side, maybe try the wings instead. Pretty good overall, but didn't quite knock my socks off. Makes for a pretty social media pic, though. :)

After a long day of driving around the city trying to find decorations for our new apartment, we got super hungry and wanted some burgers, which lead us to Black Sheep Burgers! This place isn't massive, but it was the best decision we could of made. We stopped here around 4PM on a Monday and the place was pretty dang busy for that time. The menu was plastered on the wall and after much deliberation I ended up ordering the special which was a fried crab burger (Okay, I could be wrong, but it was definitely a seafood burger and I wish I took a picture of the stupid menu). Let me tell you that I was expected a good burger from the reviews and the nice look of the place, but this thing was absolutely incredible. The burger itself was huge! The crab patty itself had so much flavour, I can't even begin to describe it, it was definitely the best seafood burger I've ever had. The special came with french fries and a drink, so with a sprite by my side the french fries are next up for review. These crinkle cut, salted fries were top notch and the perfect tag team partner for the amazing burger. Overall, Black Sheep Burgers gets five stars and a thumbs up from me. The restaurant itself was clean and looked great with both indoor and outdoor seating while the staff was friendly and quick to get the food served. This place was absolutely delicious and I'll absolutely be returning in the future to see what the rest of the menu has to offer!

The outdoor seating is very nice, especially with great weather since there's a breeze going on when I'm eating. There's also some sunlight in case you want some but also a lot of shady spots. It also doesn't feel cramped in that area. The burgers were pretty good. I got a 2×2 burger and my friend got the Katsu burger and they were both delicious. They were a good size, with some onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. There is a limited selection of beverages, ranging from soda, like Coke or Sprite, sparkling water, iced tea, and some water. It would be nice if there were some kind of fresh juice, beverages, or the mint, watermelon, green juice. The service was pretty nice. We sat outside and they brought us the food and drinks after although there isn't really anyone outside to check on you in case you want napkins or anything because I feel like it's kind of just get your food and then dine in l kind of thing

Stopped in for my first time last night for dinner, even though I pass it often because I live in the Sawtelle area. I was really impressed with the food quality, taste, and price. It won't be my last time stopping in as I already want to try more items. They have a free parking lot attached to the shopping center where it is located. The parking lot is literally just left of the restaurant. The guy behind the counter was really polite and everything was made very fast. It took a bit to choose which burger I wanted to try because they have a lot of great options on the menu. I decided to try the Date Burger and the California Chicken Burger. We also got a side of Chili Cheese Fries, and Regular Fries. The Date Burger seems to be the most popular order and I can see why. The goat cheese on it really made it for me, and the patty was seasoned perfectly. The California Chicken Burger was actually a stand out because the chicken was juicy and really matched well with the avocado. The fries were also really good and I really liked the chili cheese. It tastes closer to a Cincinnati Chili, but still it was very good. Overall, a great burger spot in a quieter part of Los Angeles. I definitely would recommend to any burger fan and I plan to be back soon to try more items.
